10 Sep Creating your own 3 Piece Suit
Summer is exiting while Fall is on the brink of commencement, and I must say I’m looking forward to the cooler days and clever layering. I’ve throughly enjoyed the direction of menswear throughout the summer season, but now its almost time to see what Fall/Winter has in store. It’s definitley still too hot out to don my favorite cashmere sweater and moto leather jacket, but I was able to get a jump start on my textural pattern mixing and layering on a semi-cool rainy day.
This is what I call “creating a 3 piece suit.” This occurs when I wear a stand alone vest with one of my suit options. For this look, I combined a vest in a similar color story as my lighter grey suit. I have an affinity for combining varying textures, so I chose to wear this herringbone patterned vest to add visual interest to the look. I had a day full of meetings so to keep this look light on the feet, I paired it with a low top luxe trainer. It’s one way of mixing athleisure with contemporary suiting.
